I wonder if I should go back stateside.

•June 7, 2009 • 1 Comment

Before I get serious and decide to leave anything expression related (chat, social networking, blogging) in the computer, I want to type this down. You see, lately I’ve been going through a roller coaster of emotions and situations, most of them being downturns.

I was wondering if I would be better off stateside than here, I was wondering if it’s convenient at all.

To go back to the states would meant that I’ll have to start college over again, it would imply that I start working. The job situation is not the easiest at the time according to mainstream media. Should I leave and start over? Should I stay and continue with this roller coaster? Should I even be thinking this?…

Some art of my own.

Since I’ve been using ubuntu 9.04 I rarely go to windows, unless it’s really neccesary. Thanks to this, I’ve been learning how to use Inkscape. Inkscape is a free and open source application that allows you to create vector images. Really good software. Here’s some of the recent work I’ve done:

Hope you like these.

Back at posting: When you hit Rock Bottom

•June 7, 2009 • Leave a Comment

It’s not like I’ve ever hit rock bottom, so I’m not the most qualified person to talk about this. However, sometimes we have to experience other things in order to really appreciate what we have at our disposal. I’ll put it this way: If you’ve never been in a worse state than how you are now, you will NEVER appreciate what’s around you.

MOST of the time (save for formal moments and family reunions) we never give thanks for what we have at our dinner table, well, we’re used to it, so it will always be there. But, had you ever been in the situation where you’re hungry because you can’t even afford to buy a rotting tomato?
Said This, I’ve learned a lot about life and social scales recently.

I’ve always been a bit over medium class, So I’ve NEVER been in the need to go outside to do hard work because I have two parents who have always given me what I want (limited by what they can reach/afford, obviously) and an aunt and grandmother on who I have always counted. So, I have always been in good shape, which is why I could never understand the reason why poor people cry and yell so much about the economic situation. I could never understand any of it, well I have always been fine, and so I’m like “This is still the same”…

  • So, you don’t really appreciate whatever it is that you eat daily if you’ve never been in worse conditions, like eating sand or making a line in inespre to get food to your house.
  • You Don’t appreciate your shoes if you’ve never been in the situation where they broke and you had to walk barefoot, or even worse, If you’ve never been cleaning them on the street.
  • You don’t really appreciate your parent’s efforts to get you clothes if you’ve never seen someone in worse conditions without clothes.

You learn a lot about appreciation, worth and life in general once you even try to wear low class’ people shoes. You see, it’s not like you’ve ever had to do a line just to get free food from the government, and if you’ve seen those lines, TRUST ME, you can’t imagine what it’s like being in there.

Today, and in my “I don’t give a fuck” mood, there was a line of those I just told you about like 6 blocks away from my house, and even though I didn’t go to get anything (and didn’t), my stepmom dared me to get in the line just to see my reaction, So you already know what’s next… (yes, sin importar que dijeran “ay pero miren a fulanito! Tanto que priva!”).

It is almost incredible how now a day’s people struggle to get 10 pounds of rice, a bit of oil and some beans. People push, rush, and have to go through a lot of shit just to get that… Which is why after I got home I realized how thankful I am for having my room, my tv, my aero, AE, Kenneth Cole, etc clothes.. because even if we don’t see it right now… mire mi herman@, la situación ta durisima!!!

“How can you see them watch someone else?” Says Markus Schulz in his track “Without You Near”, I believe that it’s because we’re so used to do so that we’re self centered already. I believe it’s because we have already dumped what they look at. I believe it’s because we’re so spoiled that we think that our problems are big, and they are! But only in our world of bubbles (Imagination).

As I type, I am picking up colors for my room decoration, Listening to Markus Schulz, thanking Christina (I Love her so much!) for making me extend this note and thinking about my homework and the coffee I made and drank. Others, in this very moment are starting to grow, a baby is being born, someone has died, someone has finished it’s project, someone has been diagnosed with aids, someone else diagnosed with cancer, someone is suffering for wanting/not having what all of you who read this and I have in common, and yet you think your life sucks because you don’t have the car you want, or because your boyfriend cheated on you!…

I’m telling you, it’s when you hit rock bottom that you learn to appreciate, and even yet there are cases where your rock bottom might be someone’s glorious moment…

So, next time you get what you’ve been craving/wanting or next time you just simply do something for pleasure, be thankful. There are people in worse conditions than you trying to figure out the meaning of life, while your parents are avoiding that you ,by any means, get to be in that situation.

With not much else to say, I’m out to do homework.
Thanks For Reading

-Chris

Hello Readers. I am glad to present you Vita: XM, Vita XM is the new version of Life:XM with a new Domain. The reason why it’s now called Vita:XM is because the Domain Lifexm.com was not available at the moment of registration so I decided to use the word Vita, which means LIFE in Italian. I hope to see you all there.

Remember: Vita: XM

Stuff I Miss… Stuff I Have To Let Out

•November 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Hey Readers, Thanks for tuning in today. I still Don’t know what got me into this mood but It’s my fuel to continue the post. I feel Different, and actually a bit down. Anyways, It’s been a while since I don’t post something like this. As a matter of fact, I have never posted while feeling like this. Maybe it’s cause I’m moving soon? (I really hope)…

My Mother and sister: No need to explain, they’re in NJ

New York: Hah! You already know this, I’ve stated it in a load of posts already, so… Next!

The friends I had in my head: Not that I had imaginary friends, however, I used to have “friends” many of which turned out to be hypocrites. It’s not really them who I miss, It’s the feeling. The Feeling of comfort and freedom to trust. The Feeling of having someone there. I miss the old times. How ever, and again I don’t want fake shit. So This Goes To:

YOU: Tarja – I Walk Alone

And to The Rest: Lacuna Coil – Purify

My Friend Sahid: Where Are Youuuuuuuuuuuuu????

Sunday Nights @ Amelia’s: Te Voy a caer allá mañana.

CNXNM: Beleive it or not, sometimes I miss being in the middle, sometimes I miss going to take pictures to places, Sometimes…

Just Tell: YES!!!, I Miss The Street Team, And I only spent a few hours with them!

I LOVE YOU NATASHA!

^ Random

Ooooh! Jillian!!! <— Random (It’s a Within Temptation Song)

Something else I miss: Being a kid! (Not like I’m 30), seriously, I miss being 11-12… I kinda miss singing “All the small things” By Blink 182, or fatlip by Sum41 even Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm….

Oh well…. I’ll stop spending your time reading nonsense… how ever, and if you did read completely: THANKS… It doesn;t hurt anymore.

>This is something I found quite interesting…. The image below is self-explicative just look at the logo of the website and look at what they’re promoting on the right side of the screen. This is a real screenshot BTW… Not like it’s gonna cause the end of the world but, I found it quite ironic.

Aéropostale Wallpapers

•October 29, 2008 • 1 Comment

Hey readers, I’m just posting this up because I am a fan of aéropostale’s clothing. and I decided that a background of aeropostale looked nice on my computer, which I would like to share as well. Here They Go:

The background Tile credit goes to the designer of aeroposstale.com (who’s name I do not know) and anyone invloved with the original design. My job: adding the big text and changing the colors from the original.
ENJOY!
