Stuff You Find On The Net: Danny J. Player

September 20, 2008 Chris Leave a comment

Hello Readers (And Yorka), it’s wonderful how every day you find things on the net. This time: Myspace. I’m a Trance Lover and it’s no mystery to my readers, so I recently decided to leave a comment on Armin Van Buuren’s New Profile (it looks very nice). Next Day I come to check on myspace, I find a very interesting Friend Request from a musician, Danny J. Player. He is a DJ and Producer from San Diego, California. A very Talented One. I didn’t know about him until the friend request, but he has pretty nice tracks. He has Two tracks featuring Vocalist Shiva (on who I just did a quick google search to get you the myspace link) which are my two particular favoites (His vocals aren’t bad either, not my favorite male vocals, but not bad).

Now, on the track “Changes”, Shiva kinda reminds me of Nadia Ali for some reason….

Oh well, that’s pretty much it, I wanted to post about him, check him out @ myspace and listen to his tracks or to his podcasts.

Alejandro DM: Making Dance Sessions (Part 1)

September 10, 2008 Chris Leave a comment

Hello Readers, In this post I’ll tell you a bit about Alejandro DM and post his new set.

Alejandro DM is an Electronic Music Producer and DJ from the Dominican Republic, My personal friend too. He has been around for quite a time now in the elctronic music scene, as a matter of fact, he has helped a lot in the development and growth of electronic music in the cibao area of the Dominican Republic, specially in the city of San Francisco de Macorís, which is the third capital of the country and where he resides. His styles go from House Music to Minimal Tech (depending on how he feels and the public) and I may say that he does know how to get your legs movin.

Now that you know a bit of him, here goes his new mix.

Enjoy!

[Track List]
1. Red Moon Slide                                      8:00
2. Cornflake                                              8:43

[Release Notes]
Nitrous Oxide has become a firm favorite on the Anjunabeats label. Having already released 6 tracks on the imprint, he now presents two unique original tunes for ANJ-106.

‘Red Moon Slide’ & ‘Cornflake’ are two huge tracks from the man from Poland whose profile continues to grow, thanks to the success of his earlier dancefloor killers ‘Morning Light’, ‘North Pole’, ‘Amnesia’ and most recently ‘Waves’.

On the A-side we have the fantastic ‘Red Moon Slide’ which brings together subtle and euphoric riffs with a heavy pumping groove. The breakdown on this track secures its place as a future ‘hands in the air’ dancefloor anthem.

‘Cornflake’ on the B-side is another original masterpiece and shows off a different production stance. Techier than it’s A-side partner, this track has a seriously filthy bassline, balanced beautifully with a delicate vocal stab.

General Fuzz: Electrónica para mis oídos

May 11, 2008 Chris Leave a comment

(bajo creative commons).

Danny Tenaglia prepara nuevo album, Futurism

May 10, 2008 Chris 2 comments
